FAQ - Lash Lifts
What is a lash lift?
A lash lift is a technique designed to give you a 6 week lasting curl to your lashes that mimics using an eyelash curler.
Why should I have a lash lift?
Your lashes will have a more dramatic curl which gives your eyes a more youthful, flirty appearance. It also creates a wide eyed look making your eyes look less tired and droopy.
How do I prepare for my lash lift?
You must arrive to your appointment completely free of eye makeup. Failure to do so prevents the curl solution from working! You must also stop using waterproof mascara AT LEAST 2 days prior to your lift for the same reason. Contact lenses must be removed prior to treatment.
Does a lash lift make my lashes thicker or longer?
Your lashes will appear much fuller and longer because of the curl and lift. However, this service does not have the same effect as lash extensions.
Can I still wear mascara after having a lash lift?
Yes, most definitely! You will achieve a more dramatic effect now that you have your lash lift.
Is a lash lift painful?
Not in the least! It’s very relaxing.
How do I care for my lashes after my lash lift?
Keep your lashes dry and do not apply anything to them for 24 hours. Do not use waterproof mascara for the entire duration of your lash lift (approximately 6 weeks).
Can I use EYENVY after having a lash lift?
Absolutely (only after 24 hours)! Some of the most dramatic results achieved are from those using EYENVY because their lashes are already so long.
Who is a lash lift not recommended for?
Although it is impossible to list every potential risk, the following conditions are recognized ...
- Eye infections
- Recent eye surgery (6 months)
- Dry eye syndrome
- Anyone using prescription medicated eye drops
- Chemotherapy (1 year)
- Anyone taking thyroxin (it can prevent lift from curling)
